At April 4, 1987 a number of persons Groeneveld established the Family circle Groeneveld as a collection of people sharing the same surname and other interested persons with the aim to stimulate the collecting, sorting and publishing of genealogical information regarding the various Groeneveld families, including all variations in spelling.
At November 7, 1992 the name of the Family circle was changed into the names association Groeneveld and the circle became a official association with a board, by-laws, members et cetera.
Everybody who is interested in the names Groeneveld, Groeneveldt, Groenevelt, Groenveld, Van Groeneveld, Gröneveld, Grüneveld et cetera can become member of the names association.
